Free Learning Sites : You probably did not know about

At Your Own Pace & When You Have Time

I have always loved free. Kind of like the current Turbo Tax commercials, freefreefreefree free. Whoever wrote those are my kind of peeps.

However, I also really really like to learn new things. So I search and search for new things to try and new ways to learn.

To get right to the point, here is a list of what I have found:

1. Coursera.org

  1. Go to coursera.org
  2. In the search bar at the top, search “free”

This has some really great looking classes. Anything from Successful Negotiation Skills to learning programming. I am definitely going to look into the programming one.

2. Your Local Library Website

  1. Go to your local library website
  2. Under Research Tools, search for online learning
  3. Look through the collection to find something that might interest you

I have done this one before. In fact, I am currently taking a creative writing course. It even has an instructor who is active on the platform (so there is actually an instructor that is monitoring the class). I am definitely enjoying it so far!

NOTE: You will need a library card for this one.

There is more to do on your library’s website as well. Look for streaming services for movies and music and e-books. I have recently found my library’s e-book app and I am addicted! They even have audio books that I do not have to pay for! (Cuz you know I love freefreefree free free!!)

3. Udemy.com

  1. Go to Udemy.com
  2. In the search bar at the top, search “free”

I am currently taking a couple of classes from udemy.com and they seem to be going very well! I am taking my time on them and there is no due date. I am not sure about the free ones but they sure look interesting! I will be looking into these ones as well. Looking through them, they seem to be an average of 1-3 hours to complete.

4. Skillshare.com

  1. Go to skillshare.com
  2. Look for courses that interest you!

You don’t even need to sign up for an account! Just search for a topic you would like to learn about and listen. Simple and easy. Find classes on productivity, photography, art, you name it. Definitely worth checking out!

I am sure there are many more out there but these are the ones that I would recommend starting with.

Now get your butt out there and start learning something new!

Love,

Nikki
